This gorgeous home studio owned by Rick and Shelley Ruffin has a duelPhantomFocus System™ Three – Dual where the mains and near-field monitors share the same subwoofer system allowing both to go down to 20Hz. The mains have a wider image and the near-fields offer more intimacy but both share the same frequency response. The rear wall employs a custom designed and built 23Hz axial mode absorber smoothing out the length modes while cantilevered ceiling panels and side wall ASC acoustic lens parabolics create unusually strong imagining from the console all the way back to the couch on the rear wall. Upon hearing his monitors used in a PhantomFocus System™ for the first time, the visiting speaker manufacturer executive commented, “ I’ve never heard these speakers sound like this!”.
